In many countries, people like to eat a wider range of food that cannot be grown in their local place. Therefore, much of the food people eat today has to come from other regions. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh disadvantages? (Real test: 13/04/2019)

Nowadays, the food eating is very diversified and imported from many other countries. People eat the food not only growing in their area but also coming from other places. Although this can have several disadvantages, advantages of it are far more significant.

 

On the one hand, there can have some disadvantages to eat a wider range of food that cannot be raised up in their local place. First, regarding the price, these food are often higher than domestic food, which not many people can afford to buy them. This is because there are many elements including in this cost such as cost of product, shipping cost and tax. In some kind of food, the shipping cost or tax is higher than the cost of product. Another drawback could be that food are no longer fresh and many preservative is often used to keep food fresh. As the result, it makes the serious diseases for users in later.

On the other hand,  eating a wider range of food that cannot be grown in their local place can have several advantages that outweigh these disadvantages. One of the main issue is that the these are often imported and provide more kind of food with high quality As the result, people are well served and have more many options for daily eating. In addition, the import or export also urge the economy by trading activities within and between countries. For examples,  Vietnam  exports a lot of rice for the countries where they can not grow it and imports other food such as apple, blackberry and cherry.

In conclusion, despite benefits that can be derived from eating a wider range of food that cannot be grown in their local place, it still does more harm than good.
